Weight: 27 pounds, 5 ounces (approx.)
Weight (Frame): 2551 – 2597 grams (approx.)
Original Retail Price (Approx.): $260 USD (Original), $225 USD (Replica), $200 USD (Apollo)
Fork Facts: Tange ‘Round’ Forks should have the 4130 Champion Decal on the bottom rear of the right fork.
Frame Facts: The ET (Original) and KYZ (High End) used the exact same frame, and the ET (Replica) and KYZ (Low End) used the exact same frame. Put a raw metal ET beside a raw metal KYZ and the geometry, weight (+/-) and quality are the same. You will notice the welding differences at the bottom bracket area.
Gusset: Gusset does not have a smaller gusset hole on the right side like KZ’s and Version 1 KYZ’s.
Model Facts: Even though there are 2 versions of the ET frame, they did release the Low End ET Frame with “Original” build parts. So you will find some ET Original builds with the poorly welded high tensile frames.
Notes: There is a debate out there whether the ET and the KYZ are the same frame or not. Most believe (because of an ad/shipping form on the net) that the ET is a high tensile steel frame. However, through our research, we are starting to believe that the “Original” versions were Tri-Moly frames while the “Replica” versions were High Tensile steel as we have put them side by side and weight tested them. When compared side by side, it is clear that the 2 models are far from being similar with regards to quality. This would put to rest the theory that KYZ’s and ETs were not the same frame. So YES, ET’s and KYZ’s are in fact the same frame. Both models came in high tensile (with very horrible welds) and tri-moly. You can notice these weld differences down at the bottom bracket area.
Collectibility: Due to the increased demand in the hobby and scarcity of supply, even the Apollo version is a sought after ET by collectors these days.

4 Generations of Decal Sets
There are 4 generations of Kuwahara decal sets produced between the years 1979 and 1988. Generation 2 is the most common decal set you will find on the popular 1982 – 1984 Laserlites and Novas. However, ALL main tube and fork decals are the exact same size for any 16″, 20″, or 24″ frames and forks.

Our Factory
In an ideal world this text wouldn’t exist, a client would acknowledge the importance of having web copy before the design starts. Needless to say it’s very important, content is king and people are beginning to understand that. However, back over in reality some project schedules and budgets don’t allow for web copy to be written before the design phase, this is sad but true. We’re here to help, we’ve written examples of web copy for over 40 industries for you to use at concept phase of your projects to bring a little life and realism to your designs and help you think about who and what you are designing for. We want clients and designers alike to think about their graphic design.
