Stamping (Handlebars, Seat Post & Frame): In late 1983, Kuwahara frames, Nitto “Laserbar” handlebars and Nitto “Laserpost” seat posts received the Kuwahara and K ‘stampings’.  The frames had “Kuwahara” stamped on the brake bridge and left side of the seat post tube, and a “K” stamp on the rear dropouts. The Nitto Generation 3 cruiser handlebars received a “Laserbars” stamp and Nitto 22.4mm straight seat posts received a “Laserpost” stamp.
Fork Thickness: Both versions of the 24″ had 25.4mm diameter Tange ‘Round’ forks in 1982.  However they were different forks as the 24″ BMX had a 5″ steerer tube.  In 1983, the 24″ BMX’s forks changed to a thicker 28.4mm diameter Tange ‘Round’ fork.

Frame Facts: 2 models of the 24″ were made. The first which was a 24″ BMX had no gusset but had a 5″ headtube, longer top tube and double thick rear dropouts. The other was a 24″ Cruiser which had a small gusset and had a top tube similar in length to the 20″ Kuwahara frames.
Notes: Both versions are factory released Kuwahara 24’s.
Generation 3 Cruiser Handlebars: These Nitto Cruiser “Laserbars” look almost identical to the Laserlite’s “Laserbars” however, they are about an inch shorter in height.
